Hue Citadel - Cố Đô Huế

Jack Clayton is an illustrator/printmaker from London who specialises in the medium of woodcut printmaking. He relief prints his blocks by hand and often uses the reduction method to add multiple layers of colour from a single block of wood. In 2010 he left the UK and spent 2 years travelling and working around Australia before venturing over to South East Asia and finally residing in Ho Chi Minh City where he has been creating art inspired by his new environment since.

Hue Citadel 
Originally a private commission I created this design inspired by a trip to the Hue Citadel in central Vietnam. Rather than choose the main gate I decided to create this image from a lesser known side entrance.

Jack Clayton là một họa sĩ vẽ tranh minh họa / thợ in đến từ Luân Đôn, người chuyên về phương tiện in khắc gỗ. Bức phù điêu của anh ấy in các khối của mình bằng tay và thường sử dụng phương pháp giảm bớt để thêm nhiều lớp màu từ một khối gỗ. Năm 2010, anh rời Vương quốc Anh và dành 2 năm đi du lịch và làm việc vòng quanh Australia trước khi sang Đông Nam Á và cuối cùng định cư tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, nơi anh đã sáng tạo nghệ thuật lấy cảm hứng từ môi trường mới của mình.

Cố đô Huế
Tôi đã tạo ra thiết kế này lấy cảm hứng từ một chuyến đi đến Cố đô Huế ở miền Trung Việt Nam. Thay vì chọn cổng chính, tôi quyết định tạo hình ảnh này từ một lối vào phụ ít được biết đến hơn.
